About the Rodeo

2011 will mark the 70th year of the Colville Panorama Rodeo and is a sanctioned Pro-west event

The Panorama Pro-West Rodeo is held annually over the June Fathers Day weekend at the Northeast Washington Fairgrounds in Colville. Festivities kick off on Friday with a Bull-A-Rama (7:00 pm). On Saturday there is a parade (approx 11:00 am) with the Rodeo picking up again at 7:00 pm. Then on Sunday all things begin to unwind at 1:30. Panorama Rodeo Queen and royalty hosts a Royalty Luncheon in the pavilion immediately following the parade. All visiting Royalty is also encouraged to participate in the Grand Entries throughout the weekend.

The Professional Western Rodeo Association (PRO-WEST) is an association of professional cowboys, cowgirls and rodeo committees that sanction rodeos throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia. PRO-WEST represents decades of rodeo experience, the predecessor of the present day PRO-WEST. The Washington Rodeo Association was formed by a small group of rodeo contestants and stock contractors in 1967. Today under a governing Board of Directors, PRO-WEST ranks have grown to a membership of over 700 members. Cowboys and cowgirls are competing for over $1,250,000 in prize money at 85 PRO-WEST sanctioned and co-approved rodeos.
