2011 Panorama Rodeo Queen - Mikala Harris

Howdy,

My name is Mikala Harris. I’m the 2011 Colville Panorama Rodeo queen. I’m 16 years old and a junior at Colville High School. My parents are Mick and Donna Harris. I’ve been in 4-H for 5 years, Washington High School Equestrian Team for 2 years, Colville Valley Gymkhana Club for 3, I was a member of Eastern Washington Junior Rodeo Association last year and this year I’ll be joining Caribou Trails Junior Rodeo Association and Pro-west Rodeo Association. My hobbies are riding my horses, snowboarding, and camping.

I look forward to representing the Colville Panorama Rodeo Association as the 2011 queen, and I hope to see everyone Father’s Day weekend at the Colville Rodeo.

 

 

 

 

2011 Pro-West Rodeo Queen - Kelsey Gunnier

Kelsey Gunnier won the crown after a weekend long pageant that is one of the featured attractions of the Pro West Finals in Yakima, Washington.  She swept the judged categories of Horsemanship, Speech and Table Display and Portfolio.

Kelsey is the 19 year old daughter of Charles and Connie Gunnier.  She was born and raised in Toppenish, Washington.  A small town with the motto, “Where the West Still Lives,” so you can say it was fate she would grow up a cowgirl.  She was born with glitter in her veins, and rodeo in her blood.  With her father, a four-time world championship qualifier, she has followed his footsteps down the rodeo trail.  She started competing in rodeos at age five and has never looked back, or let the dust settle.  Then winning her first rodeo queen title at age eleven and holding a title every year since.

Kelsey will travel hundreds of miles this year promoting the sport we all know and love, in and out of the arena.  She will be seen in rodeos, parades, and many other public appearances throughout 2011.  She hopes to be able to make an impact on everyone as not only your queen but as a competitor, as she will also be barrel racing in the Pro West circuit.  As Kelsey has always said, it will be her goal to be quick with her smile, friendly with her wave, generous with her time, and role model to all as Miss Pro West 2011.
